I wish to have a room makeover

Mathieu, 18, has had three open heart operations. This has kept him in hospital for many months over the last few years. He is a very happy teenager who is interested in baseball, exercise and video games.

When Make-A-Wish / Fais-Un-Voeu Québec asked what would be his dearest wish, he replied, "To have a new room with more space to be able to spend time with my friends and play games video games."

Mathieu's family had an unused room in the basement of the house and planned to have Mathieu move there. The team took note of his ideas for decoration and then began the transformation of Mathieu's future room. His mother had taken good care to install a lock on the door during the transformation!

It was undoubtedly a blissful moment for Mathieu - surprised and very happy - when he opened the door to his new room. You could read a "WOW" on his lips! "I did not expect all of that," Mathieu exclaimed. Mathieu's mother and many others were very moved. "You cannot know the happiness that you give me and the happiness you procure. I will never thank you enough for him and our family. You can’t imagine how good it is to live good times and try to forget for a moment the hassle of Mathieu’s heart," said Mathieu's mom.
